Verified case summary
Stefan Harrison, thirty-five, from Bootle, received a custodial sentence after burgling the same Liverpool city-centre pub three times in one week.
Merseyside Police said bottles of alcohol were taken during incidents on the second, fourth and eighth of June.
On the final occasion, Harrison entered the Whitechapel venue and took three bottles valued at two hundred and seventy pounds.
Staff detained him at the scene until officers arrived.
Enquiries then connected him to the two earlier incidents at the same business.
Harrison was arrested, charged the following day and remanded in custody.
At Wirral Magistrates' Court he pleaded guilty to all three burglary offences.
The court imposed thirty-four weeks in prison and ordered him to pay costs.
Police said repeated business burglary can leave employers facing losses that extend beyond the immediate value of stolen stock.
