Verified case summary

Ryan Clarkson, twenty-seven, from Northampton, received a sentence of five years after being convicted of thirteen counts of child sexual offences.

Northamptonshire Police said the counts covered twenty-eight offences and followed reports made by multiple survivors in twenty twenty-two.

The offending occurred when Clarkson was aged between ten and fifteen, and police said it escalated from sexual touching to rape.

Prosecutors brought twenty charges.

After denying them, Clarkson was convicted at Leicester Crown Court of six counts of raping a child under thirteen, two counts of assault by penetration, four counts of sexual assault, and one count of sexual activity with a child.

The jury acquitted him of seven other allegations.

In June twenty twenty-six, the court imposed a five-year custodial sentence.
